The building works had been substantially completed by the end of January with just a few minor fitting-out items to be completed in early February, allowing decorators to give a final coat of paint after the dust had settled. External works to improve access were completed during February, and the only outstanding item is the installation of a new handrail alongside the path and some replanting in the garden.
The photos this month are part of the historic building recording exercise. The empty building has been photographed extensively, both before work started and after completion, to record it both internally and externally. A selection of the ‘before’ images were used for the ‘May 2020 site cleared’ page, and the images here show mostly the same views after work was completed. The only exception is the image showing the new large windows and skylight in the eastern end of the studio.
