Paul Massey was invited to photograph Anchor Studio in November 2019 while it was still being used as a painting studio. Artist Virginia Bounds has been using the studio since 2008, and these images show a working studio before she started to move out in 2020.
Paul had previously photographed Porthmeor Studio before its renovation, and his photographs were featured in the Daily Telegraph magazine in August 2008. This exposure generated additional interest in the project, and helped the Trust to secure the funding it needed.
