Work on repairing and strengthening the timber frame walls was completed, and the walls were built up internally with insulation, a vapour barrier and sheathing ply, and then battened to provide a void for the electrical cables. On the ground floor, mesh was fixed under the floor joists, and floor insulation inserted between them. The internal timber dividing stud walls were then constructed.
The building was now ready for first fix electrics and plumbing, which is being installed by Delve and Nankervis. The upstairs studio will have a track-based lighting system, a single sink and two radiators, whereas the downstairs accommodation will require a more complex installation to service the kitchen, bathroom and bed-sitting room.
